बेळगावमार्गे पंढरपूरला जाणारी थेट रेल्वे पुन्हा सुरू करावी अशी मागणी आज जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांकडे निवेदनाद्वारे करण्यात आली .सदर मागणी बेळगाव ग्रामीण जिल्हा आणि शहरी विभागातील श्री पांडुरंगाचे (वारकरी) भक्तांनी केली .
यावेळी ते म्हणाले की पूर्वी बेळगावमार्गे पंढरपूरला दररोज दुपारी २-३० वाजता थेट रेल्वे धावत होती. याचा लाभ बेळगाव ग्रामीण जिल्हा, शहरी विभाग, धारवाड जिल्हा, चंदगड तालुक्यातील भाविकांना झाला.
मात्र ही रेल्वे काही दिवसांपूर्वीच बंद करण्यात आली होती. त्यामुळे पांडुरंग भक्तांची पंढरपूरला जाण्यासाठी गैरसोय होते. त्यामुळे हितचिंतकांनी अधिक काळजी घ्यावी आणि बेळगाव मार्गे पंढरपूरला जाणारी थेट रेल्वे पुन्हा सुरू करून भाविकांची सोय करावी अशी मागणी केली.
