बेळगाव दि . 20 मूळचे बेळगावचे सुपुत्र व सध्या अमेरिका देशाचे नवनिर्वाचित खासदार डॉ . श्री ठाणेदार यांचा गुरुवार दि. 23 फेब्रुवारी रोजी सायंकाळी ठिक 5 . 00 वाजता मराठा मंदिर बेळगावच्या वतीने भव्य नागरी सत्कार सोहळा संपन्न होणार आहे . या नियोजन बैठकीच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी मराठा मंदिरचे अध्यक्ष आप्पासाहेब गुरव होते .
खासदार श्री ठाणेदार शामल ठाणेदार यांची जन्मभूमी बेळगाव असून हे सध्या एक अमेरिकन व्यापारी, लेखक आणि राजकारणी म्हणून आहेत . सन् 2023 पासून मिशिगनच्या 13व्या कॉंग्रेसल . जिल्ह्यातून यूएसए प्रतिनिधी म्हणून कार्यरत आहेत. डेमोक्रॅटिक पक्षाचे सदस्य, ठाणेदार यांनी 2021 ते 2023 पर्यंत मिशिगन हाऊस ऑफ रिप्रेझेंटेटिव्हचे सदस्य म्हणून काम केले.
मराठी माणूस साता समुद्रापार कार्यकर्तृत्वाचा ठसा उमटविला आहे यांचा सन्मान करण्याचे नियोजन बैठकित करण्यात आले .
हा सन्मान बेळगावच्या सुपुत्राचा समस्त मराठी भाषिक बेळगावकरांच्यावतीने नागरी सत्कार सोहळा साजरा करण्यासाठी विविध संस्था , संघ , संघटना , सहकारी संस्था शिक्षण संस्था , महिला मंडळे यांच्याहस्ते करण्यात येणार आहे . तेव्ह सर्वांनी मिळून हा बेळगाव नागरी सत्कार करण्यासाठी सहकार्य करावे असे आवाहन उद्योजक आप्पासाहेब गुरव यांनी केले आहे .
यावेळी विविध संस्था व संघटनांचे बैठकीला सदस्य उपस्थित होते . मराठा मंदिरचे उपाध्यक्ष नेमिनाथ कंग्राळकर , बेकर्स सोसायटीचे शिवाजीराव हंगिरगेकर , एल बी. सैनुचे , अखिल भारतीय मराठी साहित्य परिषदचे राज्याध्यक्ष रवींद्र पाटील , बेळगाव बार असोशिएशन उपाध्यक्ष ॲड. सुधीर चव्हाण , मार्केट यार्ड व्यापारी प्रतिनिधी विश्वास घोरपडे , चंदगड तालुका रहिवाशी संघ व दमशि मंडळाचे संचालक डी .बी . पाटील समितीचे कार्यकर्ते सुरज कणबरकर , तारांगण समूहाच्या संचालिका अरुणा गोजे पाटील व स्मिता चिंचणीकर , डॉ .नितिन राजगोळकर यासह आदी मान्यवर उपस्थित होते .
